The RV Monkey Privacy Policy

• Questions and conversations: Information you provide when requesting assistance, troubleshooting, or researching parts and upgrades.

• Subscription information: Subscription status and purchase-related information made available through Apple's subscription services.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in questions, photos, or documents.

We use information to provide RV-specific assistance, analyze customer-submitted images, help identify parts and maintenance needs, maintain RV records, respond to support requests, administer subscriptions, and maintain the reliability and security of our services.

The app uses Apple's SwiftData and device preferences to store RV profiles, equipment details, history, certain photos, and maintenance information.

Information stored locally may also be included in questions or requests sent to our AI service when relevant to providing assistance.

The RV Monkey uses OpenAI to process questions and, when provided, images. Relevant RV details may be included with those requests to provide more useful answers.

Requests are transmitted through our application server to OpenAI. Information processed by third-party service providers may be subject to their applicable data-handling and retention practices.

AI-generated information should be independently verified when safety, repairs, compatibility, or important purchasing decisions are involved.

We use third-party providers to operate portions of our services, including OpenAI for AI processing, Vercel for application server hosting, and Apple for app distribution and subscriptions.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect our services, users, or legal rights.

The app includes a Replace My RV feature that removes the RV profile, associated locally stored history, and specified saved RV and maintenance information from the app's local storage.

This action does not necessarily delete information previously transmitted to third-party services or information retained in service logs.

We take reasonable steps to protect information handled through our services. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

The RV Monkey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.

The app may provide links to manufacturers, parts suppliers, service providers, and other external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

• Our website host collects basic technical and usage information, such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address, to operate the site and measure traffic in aggregate.
• If you join our email list, we use an email service provider to store your email address and send the messages you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• If you email us, we use Google Workspace to receive and respond to your message.
• Our shop and some articles contain Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies under its own privacy policy.
